Roborock’s big product announcement at IFA 2025 is something I don’t think anybody saw coming: a combo washer and dryer with a secret compartment for robot vacuums. Called the 4-in-1 Household Cleaning Combo for now, it has no price and no release date, but it might be one of my favorite ideas on the show floor so far.
The washer and dryer is essentially the Roborock Zeo One, which the company also showed off at the Berlin technology show. It’s a smart washer and dryer with a glossy glass front panel that’s got a hidden control panel at its top. The Zeo One comes with a lot of automation—a self-clearing lint system, automatic laundry detergent dosing, and smart control via the Roborock app.
The 4-in-1 Household Cleaning Combo (I confirmed later that the four parts are the washer and dryer, plus a robot vacuum with mopping capability—also, I assume this thing will get a goofy name later on) has a little trapdoor at the bottom, which reveals a cave for a robot vacuum to live inside. When it’s time for the robot vac to clean, the trapdoor opens up and the robot leaves to do its business, returning when it’s done to charge and empty itself. The front panel of the Cleaning Combo was detachable, letting you access the vacuum bag, which sits just above the robot cave.
It looked like Roborock was using a Roborock Saros 10 for its demos, but a representative at the company’s booth said people who buy this machine would be able to use other supported Roborock vacuums. Roborock would just have to update the firmware to make them work. At the moment, the 4-in-1 Household Cleaning Combo isn’t an official product—just a concept—but the representative said that it could become one, depending on how people respond to the Zeo One and whether there’s enough interest. Personally, as someone who can’t stop thinking about Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg monologuing about little robot vacuums in The Fifth Element, I’d love to see it become real.
