Today, Apple announced its latest generation Apple Watch: the Apple Watch Series 11. It includes a new S11 chipset, 5G support, double the scratch resistance, a new Hypertension detection feature, and more. It will be available to order this Friday.
Apple Watch Series 11
This year’s new Apple Watch is incredibly similar to last year’s Apple Watch Series 10, with a few modest upgrades. It encompasses the same thinner design, and has a new lineup of colors: Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, and Space Gray.
Apple’s new Hypertension awareness feature will be available in over 150 countries, pending regulatory approval.
This year’s Apple Watch Series 11 also has a new ‘Sleep Score’ feature, analyzing all of your varying sleep factors to give you more insight on your sleep. Apple used over 5 million nights of sleep data to develop their algorithm.
Recently, Apple announced a redesigned Blood Oxygen feature for Apple Watch, meaning Apple Watch Series 11 buyers will have access to monitoring their Blood Oxygen levels from day 1. This new feature does require you to view the results on your iPhone, though.
Last but not least, Apple finally packs a larger battery into this year’s Apple Watch. The company quotes 24 hours of battery life.
Pricing & availability
Apple Watch Series 11 will be available in two sizes: 42mm & 46mm, for $399 and $429 respectively. Add an extra $100 if you’d like GPS + Cellular. Pre-orders start this Friday, and it’ll be released on September 19th.
