Apple has officially unveiled the new iPhone 17 Pro. It comes in a bold new orange color, features an aluminum unibody design, and includes the biggest battery in any iPhone. The A19 Pro chip comes with a new thermal management system using a vapor chamber. It features the new Ceramic Shield 2 on both the front and the back for the first time. It comes in cosmic orange, deep blue, and silver. The front camera features Center Stage and ups the resolution to 18 megapixels. The three rear cameras are each 48 megapixels now. The telephoto lens now features 4x (100mm) optical zoom, up from 5x, and extends to 8x (200mm) with Apple’s Fusion camera feature like previous iPhones. Digital zoom now goes up to 48x. On the video side, iPhone 17 Pro adds ProRes RAW capture and Genlock support. iPhone 17 Pro works with the new TechWoven protective case as well as the redesigned clear case and a variety of Apple silicone cases — each with improved buttons. iPhone 17 Pro now starts with 256GB of storage at $1099. iPhone 17 Pro Max now includes the first-ever 2TB storage option.
