28 Years Later is the long-awaited third release in Danny Boyle's iconic zombie franchise. The movie premiered in theaters this year and, just in time for spooky season, the hit horror movie is now streaming.
It all started more than two decades ago when Boyle partnered with writer-director Alex Garland to bring 28 Days Later to the big screen. It was followed by the sequel, 28 Weeks Later, in 2007, which Boyle executive-produced. Instead of your typical undead fare, the franchise features a new type of threat: Running zombies infected with a biological weapon known as the Rage Virus.
Jodie Comer, Alfie Williams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sam Locke, Erin Kellyman and Ralph Fiennes star in 28 Years Later, the first in a new trilogy of movies. The next installment, The Bone Temple, is set to premiere in early 2026, so now's the perfect time to catch up.
