Apple Watch got a major new watchOS 26 software update last week, but now beta testers can try out the next update that’s coming. watchOS 26.1 beta 1 is rolling out now to developers. Apple releases watchOS 26.1 to beta testers watchOS 26 introduced a Liquid Glass redesign to the Apple Watch, alongside new features like the Notes app, wrist flick gesture, Apple Intelligence features, and more. Today, watchOS 26.1 beta 1 arrives as the first preview of what’s coming next to Apple Watch. Currently, watchOS 26.1 is only available to users running the developer beta for watchOS. If you beta tested watchOS 26 but aren’t ready for a brand new beta with potentially more bugs than before, be sure to disable Beta Updates inside the Watch app on your iPhone. As the very first developer beta, it is likely that watchOS 26.1 will introduce new bugs and performance issues not found in the public version of watchOS 26.
