Update, September 25, 2025 (10:20 AM ET): It’s only been a few days since Samsung got this update started, and we’re already seeing reports that availability has spread to the States. According to SamMobile, Samsung’s One UI 8 update is starting to hit carrier-locked Fold 6 and Flip 6 handsets in the US. It’s arriving as build F956USQU2CYI7 for the Fold, and F741USQU2CYI6 for the Flip. If you’ve got one of these foldables, sit tight and wait for your update notification to arrive, which should be any time now. The hefty update also included the September security patch, so we’re guessing that’ll also be the case for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 when they get the new version.
