Don’t expect to get Foggy Nelson back on Daredevil: Born Again. Guillermo del Toro has doubts he’ll ever get round to doing At the Mountains of Madness. Plus, could a Xena movie be on the horizon? Spoilers now!
At the Mountains of Madness
During a recent interview with Empire, Guillermo del Toro doubted he’d ever get around to directing his long-planned film adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness, adding he may no longer “want to” in light of his desire to “do something very different” after Frankenstein.
The one that’s on the bucket list that I think is gonna stay there is [At the Mountains of Madness]. It’s too big, too crazy, too R-rated, I guess. And to be completely candid, I don’t know that I want to do it after this.
The MCU/House of M
During a recent panel at LA Comic Con (via CBR), Elizabeth Olsen admitted her disappointment over WandaVision ultimately having no bearing on her character or the future events of the MCU.
When I went into WandaVision…I mean, I had an idea that I was going to be in Doctor Strange. I had an idea of that, but I thought I was in an ensemble cast, and I thought I was one of the good guys. And then three weeks before I was sent to London, they said, ‘You’re our lead villain.’ And I had no clue, and I had finished filming WandaVision, and I was like, ‘Wow, it would have been helpful to have known that just so I could have pulled a thread through a bit.’ I think the story told itself—and I—was able to kind of massage things in Doctor Strange to hopefully tell a different story for her.
However, Olsen also stated she’s hopeful to return from the dead for an adaptation of House of M in a far-flung “phase” of the MCU.
I mean, I just think that House of M is just the coolest. I don’t how to make it make sense…Maybe there’s some fan pitches or theories out there. But I just think it could be so fun to deal with X-Men and Avengers, and ‘No more mutants.’
Captain Planet and the Planeteers
Glen Powell confirmed he’s no longer involved with the Leonardo DiCaprio-produced Captain Planet movie in a new interview with Screen Rant.
That one’s no longer in my hands. Yeah, they’re going to take it and run with it, but yeah, I wish them the best on that one. I’ve been a passionate fan of Captain Planet since I was a kid. Obviously, some things that you make in this town find their way quickly, and some of ’em don’t, and there was a lot of rights holders and things like that around it. A lot of opinions, so I’m no longer the guy running with the baton, but they’re going to make something great, I’m sure.
Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel
Deadline reports Together director Michael Shanks is attached to direct Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel, a “sci-fi thriller” about a man trapped inside an endlessly large, inescapable hotel.
Mr. K
Relatedly, Crispin Glover plays a man trapped inside an endlessly large, inescapable hotel in the trailer for the sci-fi thriller, Mr. K.
Project Genesis
A scientist at a US military base in Thailand must use an experimental warp-speed teleportation device to rescue her time-displaced father from prehistoric animals, ancient tribes, and Godzilla-sized mutants in the trailer for Project Genesis.
Daredevil: Born Again
Despite fan theories to the contrary, Elden Henson confirmed Foggy Nelson is dead and will not return to Daredevil: Born Again during his recent appearance at LA Comic-Con.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s just not happening.

X-Men ’97
In conversation with Collider, the new voice of Charles Xavier in X-Men ’97, Ross Marquand, revealed “a lot of people die” in the show’s “very, very dark” second season.
I’m amazed Disney greenlit it because it’s so dark. It’s very, very dark. A lot of people die, and so many people don’t talk about it. Just being honest.
Xena: Warrior Princess
Finally, in an Entertainment Weekly article celebrating the 30th anniversary of Xena: Warrior Princess, Lucy Lawless discussed her regret over the “Tarantino-esque” decision to kill off Xena in the finale, while Rob Tapert revealed a script for a new project will see completion “somewhere in the next three to six months.”
