Return of the Living Dead
THR reports Devon Sawa has joined the cast of the currently untitled Return of the Living Dead sequel expected to resume filming this winter in Massachusetts.
Cave of Dreams
Deadline reports Loving Vincent’s Hugh Welchman is now attached to direct Cave of Dreams, a “painted-animation horror film” inspired by the works of Francisco Goya’s Black Paintings.
Scrooge
According to World of Reel, Ti West’s next project is titled Scrooge, though there’s currently “no official word yet on whether it’s an actual Ebenezer Scrooge movie.”

Elisabeth Moss confirmed a script for a potential sequel to Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man is still being written.
I feel like it’s important. We love that movie so much. The people who made it – we’re so proud of it. We really want to make sure if we do a sequel, it’s worthy and it’s going to have to be as good if not better. So that’s been kind of what’s slowed us down. But I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I think if we’re going to do it, it’s got to be right. But we still want to do it. We’re still working on it. We just have to get the right script together.

John Wick 5
John Wick creator Derek Kolstad suggested “a familiar face you were destined to hate” may team up with the title hero in a future movie.
What I think is interesting is, when you look at our favorite movies, you have good guys and bad guys at first. Then I remember watching Return of the Jedi in the theater, and when Darth Vader stands up and grabs the Emperor, I didn’t know as the 11-year-old [that the story] could do that, and every kid with me lost our s***. [We were] just in kind of shock and awe, like, “Wait a minute.” And then he throws him off the side, and you have that father-son moment, right? You look at our favorite movies, [and] it’s you and me with guns on each other at the end of the first act, and [then it’s] you and me, at the beginning of the third act, back to back against the worst. Ultimately, I hope this story goes in such a way where there’s a familiar face you were destined to hate, [and] you’re like, “Wait a minute. Oh, okay. It’s us versus them and them. F*** them.” So that’s where the thinking goes, and I wish them nothing but love, man.

Supergirl
Speaking with Variety, Supergirl screenwriter Ana Nogueria stated she couldn’t “get [her] head around” the character until reading Tom King’s “rougher and grittier and edgier and funnier” Woman of Tomorrow.
She watched Krypton completely be destroyed. I was always like, ‘I can’t get my head around the version of the character that is so sunny.’ When I read it, I was like, ‘There she is’.
Sherlock Holmes 3
During a recent interview with Collider, Robert Downey Jr. confirmed he’s still interested in making a third Sherlock Holmes movie set in the American West.
It’s always been kind of set in America, and whether that’s a good idea or not, I’m not sure, but I love it. I love that idea. So, I would just love to do it. It’s just hard. It’s been a while, the bar is really high, or at least Robert has set the bar really high, so I don’t know.
