If you've grown tired of relentless price hikes from your favorite streaming platforms, it's nice to know that free TV services like Tubi, Fawesome and Pluto TV can be counted on for all kinds of great shows and movies. New films (and TV shows) arrive on these platforms every month, making them great options if you're looking for something cheap but with great options.
This month, Tubi's got a couple of new originals to creep you out: first up is Match, on Oct. 3, a cautionary tale about why you should always meet your online date in a public place, and on Oct. 10, check out Adopted 2, a thriller along the lines of The Bad Seed or The Good Son, where a devilish kid turns out to be an unwelcome, terrifying addition to the family.
On Fawesome you can watch the original 1922 version of Nosferatu or George Romero's Night of The Living Dead for some classic frights, on Pluto TV, The Ring, Shutter Island, and The Addams Family are among this month's arrivals, and on Kanopy, catch the indie folk horror Men, or Bong Joon-Ho's 2009 crime thriller Mother.

Tubi Match (Oct. 3) While Halloween is fast-approaching, Tubi churns out reliable thrillers that make your palms sweat all year long. In Match, one of the streamer's upcoming originals due out on Oct. 3, a woman named Paola (Humberly González) makes plans to meet the handsome, charming man she met on a dating app by going to his home for dinner -- only to enter into a house of horrors.
