Apple is widely expected to announce new iPads and Macs later this month, alongside an updated Apple Vision Pro. And if current inventory levels are anything to go by, the announcements could come sooner rather than later.
Inventory shifts usually mean hardware refresh
Right now, as noted by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, depending on which M4 iPad Pro configuration you choose on Apple’s website, you could be waiting up to three weeks for delivery.
Interestingly, when it comes to the M4 MacBook Pro, most variants are readily available, except for the base M4 model, which has custom configurations back-ordered until closer to the end of the month.
On the base level 14-inch MacBook Pros, custom configurations on the line store are constrained till the end of October. Not the case for the Pro/Max and 16-inch models. — Mark Gurman (@markgurman) October 6, 2025
As for the Apple Vision Pro, which is reportedly slated to get a minor spec bump, stocks seem largely unaffected.
Still, with stocks starting to run low on precisely most of the products expected to be refreshed, it seems we may be just a few days away from Apple’s next round of announcements.
In recent years, Apple has alternated between hosting an event in mid-to-late October, and announcing products across multiple days through press releases.
Be it as it may, while there’s no solid indication yet of whether Apple will hold an event or stick to press releases this time, current stock levels suggest we won’t have to wait long to find out.
It is worth keeping in mind that Apple is also expected to unveil the AirTag 2, Apple TV 4K (A17 Pro), and a HomePod mini 2 by the end of the year.
