EcoFlow is well known for its portable power stations and home battery backup options, with many of its products earning spots on our best lists. Unfortunately, not every product is a hit and EcoFlow has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 25,030 units of its EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 portable power stations (model EFD310) in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) due to the risk of a fire hazard. This isn't a power station we've tested or recommended in the past, but it is one of the company's larger capacity models, allowing you to power a wide range of devices. The good news is that the recall doesn’t require you to return your power station. The issue can be fully resolved through a firmware update that you can do yourself. Here’s how to do it. What’s the problem? According to the CPSC, the Delta Max 2000 power station may overheat and ignite, posing a serious risk of burn injury and fire hazard to users and property. EcoFlow has received six reports of the power stations catching fire, resulting in property damage totaling over $850,000. What portable power stations are affected? The affected units were sold for about $1,600 on Costco.com, Amazon.com and Ecoflow.com from July 2022 through May 2025. The affected model number, EFD310, is printed on the nameplate on the underside of the product. If you’re unsure about the model, you can email EcoFlow’s customer service email ([email protected]) and provide pictures of the power station and they’ll help you confirm. No other models are affected by the recall.
