Over two years ago, Trigun Stampede premiered, offering a new reimagining of the hit anime based on Yashiro Nightow’s manga. A slick new visual style and some extra additions made it its own distinct thing, and now Studio Orange is ready to bring things to a close with Trigun Stargaze.
The first two episodes of the upcoming series premiered at New York Comic Con with Nightow, series director Masako Sato, and Orange’s Yota Shirasu and Yoshihiro Watanabe in attendance.
Stargaze picks up two years after Stampede’s ending, with Vash the Stampede living on a small settlement on Noman’s Land. He lost his memory after fighting his brother Knives, while Meryl is searching for him with new partner Milly Thompson in tow. Vash, Meryl, Milly, and gunslinging priest Nicholas Wolfwood are all present and accounted for in the trailer, which is good since they’re going up against the Independent Chronica, who’ve come to investigate the planet after Vash and Knives’ battle.
Trigun Stargaze premieres January 2026 on Crunchyroll.
