After exceeding box office expectations all summer, Apple’s F1 movie starring Brad Pitt now has an Apple TV+ streaming release date. Apple announced on Monday that “F1 The Movie” will arrive on Apple TV+ in just under two months. The film will be available to stream for Apple TV+ subscribers globally starting Friday, December 12. Apple TV+ streaming availability for “F1 The Movie” has been a curiosity for subscribers since the film landed in theaters earlier this year. The movie premiered in theaters in June before later being re-released in IMAX due to popular demand. In August, “F1 The Movie” became available to buy or rent on digital, and the film recently arrived on DVD and Blu-ray for purchase. Now that “F1 The Movie” has an Apple TV+ streaming release date for December 12, the months-long release is coming to a close. In its announcement, Apple touts how “F1 The Movie” has delivered more than just impressive box office numbers: Since its wide theatrical release on June 27, 2025, “F1 The Movie” has broken records, debuting at No. 1 and surpassing $629 million at the global box office. In addition to being the highest-grossing sports film, “F1 The Movie” is this year’s highest-grossing original feature, and the biggest opening for an original live-action film in the U.S. in the last five years, as well as Brad Pitt’s highest-grossing feature to date. The film boasts an A CinemaScore, along with a soaring 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and continues to fuel wide acclaim as the most authentic racing feature ever made. Have you watched “F1 The Movie” yet, or are you waiting for Apple TV+ availability? Meanwhile, Apple could soon make more F1 news as the company is expected to announce a streaming rights deal for the real sport itself as soon as next weekend.
