Back at CES in January, LG caught the attention of Mac users by teasing a new UltraFine 6K Display with Thunderbolt 5. The company, however, was ultra tight-lipped on details about the display, including pricing and availability.
Now, however, the LG UltraFine 6K is available from LG’s website for $1,999.99, with the first orders shipping on October 20. Here’s everything you need to know…
Here are some of the highlights from the product listing about the LG UltraFine 32U990A:

That resolution matches Apple’s Pro Display XDR and comes out to 218 pixels per inch. Apple released the Pro Display XDR in 2019 and continues to sell it for $4,999 (or $5,999 if you want a stand). Like the Pro Display XDR, the LG UltraFine 32U990A also doesn’t have built-in speakers or a webcam.
The Pro Display XDR, however, has higher brightness both in normal usage (1,000 nits) and in HDR mode (1,600 nits).
In terms of design, the LG UltraFine 32U990A bears a lot of resemblance to Apple’s Pro Display XDR, at least in terms of how it looks in the pictures. The jury is still out on overall build quality, which was a major problem on the LG UltraFine 5K. According to the images, however, it does feature a fully height, tilt, and rotation adjustable stand.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg recently reported that Apple is “nearing mass production” on two new Mac monitors. It remains to be seen how these compare to the existing Pro Display XDR and Studio Display.
Full reviews of the LG ULtraFine 6K will be up soon, including one here at 9to5Mac. In the meantime, here’s where to order:
