Apple TV has had an especially strong slate of movies this fall, and its next big title is a sequel to one of the streamer’s most popular films to date: The Family Plan. Here’s the just-released trailer for The Family Plan 2, which will hit Apple TV next month. The Family Plan 2 hits Apple TV next month with European holiday setting Mark Wahlberg’s The Family Plan debuted in late 2023 on Apple TV, and very quickly became the streamer’s most-viewed film to date. It’s since been bested by other premieres like The Gorge and Wolfs, but The Family Plan remains one of Apple’s best-performing films yet. Now, the sequel is almost here. And with Apple’s current much larger subscriber base, it could become an even bigger hit than the original. The Family Plan 2 arrives Friday, November 21 on Apple TV, the week before Thanksgiving in the US. Apple has released the official trailer for the movie, which shows a European-set holiday action-comedy featuring newcomer Kit Harington as the villain. The first The Family Plan wasn’t particularly well reviewed by critics, but fared much better with viewers. It has a 29% on Rotten Tomatoes but a 60% audience score. This one looks like a fun time, especially due to its holiday setting. But we’ll see if the film manages to best its predecessor or not.
