AT&T is increasing pricing for home internet plans.
The increase applies to every plan.
A promo saves $10 a month, but it's not for everyone.
If you're an AT&T internet customer, there's a good chance your monthly bill is about to go up.
Over the past few days, subscribers started receiving an email that almost all AT&T Internet plans are increasing by $5 a month, or $60 a year. This comes after a similar increase last year.
The new pricing takes effect Dec. 31, 2025.

In a post to Reddit, an AT&T subscriber shared the email they received about the increase. After explaining that "connectivity is our top priority," the company said it was increasing internet plan pricing "to ensure we continue providing the quality service and support you deserve." The email went on to say that this change might "require some adjustment" from subscribers and that "a variety of connectivity solutions and plan options" are available.
How you can avoid the increase – sort of
After I reached out, an AT&T representative confirmed what those options are. If you're not already enrolled in autopay and paperless billing, you can save $10 a month by paying automatically with your bank account or save $5 a month by connecting a debit card. If you are enrolled in those programs, there doesn't appear to be any way to offset the increase.
There is a small subset of subscribers who won't pay this increase -- customers who signed up in the last year and customers who take advantage of the AT&T Access program that provides low-cost internet service for eligible households.
Price increases are, of course, nothing new. Streaming services seem to announce price increases every year, as do smart home security services and software subscriptions. Home internet, though, has become a necessity for the most part. And since many people only have one or two options for service, there's not much you can do about a price increase other than deal with it.
