Wireless charging has come a long way since the early days, when it felt like only something you’d use at night. The introduction of MagSafe with the iPhone 12 was a huge win for the standard, and now the industry is unifying around Qi2. The newest enhancement, Qi2.2, takes things up a notch with support for 25-watt charging speeds and better heat management. LISEN recently launched its new LISEN Qi2.2 MagSafe Car Charger, and I’ve been using it as my primary car charger for the past few weeks.

Design and cooling system
The LISEN Qi2.2 MagSafe Car Charger is built really well, and supports multiple installation methods. It can mount to either your dashboard with a 3M adhesive base or to an air vent with a reinforced metal hook, so you have flexibility depending on your car’s setup. I prefer the vent mounts as I don’t want to use adhesive on my dashboard. Once it’s installed and locked in, it feels solid and doesn’t really budge even on rough roads.
What I can appreciate about this model is the built-in cooling fan. If you’re charging with MagSafe, your device gets hot during longer drives, which slows charging and can put your iPhone in a situation where it’s unusable until it cools off. You might be thinking, Oh well, in the summer, my car’s A/C will blow on it. In the winter, though, your car’s heat can be blasting on the back of your iPhone as well. LISEN addresses this issue with active cooling and a temperature system that maintains temperatures at ideal temperatures for maximum charging speed while balancing device usage.
Qi2.2 and charging performance
Qi2.2 takes MagSafe charging to the next level with speeds up to 25W. One thing to note, Qi2.2 is only supported on the iPhone 17 or 16 lineup running iOS 26. If you have that setup, that means you can go from zero to around 30% in about ten minutes and be at 60% in half an hour. If you are using an iPhone 15, you will still see up to 15W, which is solid but not quite the same jump, but it’ll be there when you upgrade. The nice part is that Qi2.2 accessories are backward compatible, so you can use this charger across multiple devices in the family without thinking about it.

The active cooling on the LISEN Qi2.2 makes a big difference here as well. Even when charging for long periods, I never saw the usual heat warnings that sometimes appear with warmer weather. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are charging through a built-in USB port in your car, the output may limit you. Using the included adapter is the best way to see the full benefit of Qi2.2.
Wrap up on LISEN Qi2.2 car charger
Overall, the LISEN Qi2.2 MagSafe Car Charger is a great choice if you expect to be using a device with Qi2.2 in the coming year. The magnets are strong, the installation process is straightforward, and it even includes a braided cable and car adapter in the box. LISEN has built a reputation for quality accessories, and this charger continues that trend. It is not the cheapest MagSafe car charger you can buy, but it has everything you would want: active cooling, all the accessories needed, and support for the latest Qi standards.
