Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum
Speaking at a convention in London called For the Love of Fantasy, Ian McKellen seemingly confirmed that Frodo will appear alongside Gandalf in Andy Serkis’ Gollum prequel (although it wasn’t confirmed if Elijah Wood would presumably reprise the role).

Avengers: Doomsday
During a recent interview with People, Alan Cumming revealed he shot his scenes as Nightcrawler in Avengers: Doomsday “all together” behind a green screen, to accommodate his shooting schedule for The Traitors.
It was actually really great to go back. And especially, I’m 60 years old. I did not think I would be doing stunts, playing a superhero in my 60s. So that was great. And everyone was really nice. And I got it done really quickly because I couldn’t go, because of The Traitors, when most of my scenes were being shot. So I squashed them all together, and got a green screen and various things and little scenes of people here and there.

Deadline reports Tiffani Thiesen, Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Ora Duplass, Jordan Leftwich, and Louis Thresher are attached to star in Coven Academy, a “single-camera, supernatural dramedy at Disney from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series creator Tim Federle. Said to promise “a mix of magic, mystery, and teen drama set against the moody backdrop of New Orleans,” the series follows “a trio of teenage witches-in-training who are bound by destiny to guard their city against dangerous, ancient forces. Between unraveling dark secrets, mastering volatile magic, and facing off against distractingly cute rivals, they must also navigate the heartbreaks and deep bonds that come with growing up.”
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Relatedly, Charisma Carpenter confirmed she has not been asked to return for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot in a new video posted to TikTok (via Deadline).
Hey, I get asked this a lot: ‘Are you doing the reboot?’ And I thought I would address it. I am not in the reboot. I am not in the pilot. I don’t even know if the show has been picked up to go to series. I assume it will be.
Peacemaker
Speaking with Comic Book, Frank Grillo confirmed Rick Flag, Sr., is “hellbent” on getting Peacemaker “in the ground” for killing his son in The Suicide Squad.
It’s impossible not to let [parenthood] kind of saturate your being. The way for me anyway when I prepare, it’s like, ‘What would I do in this situation? How would I be in this situation?’ So it’s hard not to think of [what I would do]. If it were me, I would be hellbent on getting this guy in the ground. And that would probably blur a lot of other things around me, which is what I think Flag is dealing with.
