FOX One is one of two major new streaming services launching today. And it looks like Apple has gone two-for-two with support for its Apple TV app.
New FOX One streamer fully integrates with Apple’s TV app
Out of major US linear networks, FOX has long been a holdout in the streaming era.
You can get CBS through Paramount+, NBC through Peacock, and Disney puts lots of ABC content in Disney+ and Hulu.
But particularly if you’re an NFL fan, the absence of FOX has been a pain point.
Now, the new FOX One streaming service solves that. It costs $19.99/month and provides access to sports, news, and entertainment—with a main focus on live content.
And just like ESPN, other sports-focused streamer that launched today, FOX One has good news for users of Apple’s TV app.
FOX One fully integrates with the TV app, letting you browse content, save to your queue, and more directly from Apple’s app.
With ESPN and FOX One joining other supported streaming services like Disney+, HBO Max, Paramount+, and Peacock, Netflix remains the one significant holdout that doesn’t integrate with Apple’s app.
And since Netflix seems to be investing heavily in its own apps and finding success with that, I doubt the streamer will partner with Apple any time soon.
