Apple announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June that it will release iOS 26 (not iOS 19) this fall -- I'm guessing mid-September. The update will bring a new Liquid Glass design, call screening and more to your iPhone, and developers and beta testers can try all those new features now. We put together this cheat sheet to help you learn about and use the latest features in iOS 26. This page will also help you keep track of the subsequent iOS 26 updates. Note that iOS 26 is still in beta, so these features could be buggy or not work properly. We recommend downloading a beta only on something other than your primary device. Because this isn't the final version of iOS 26, the update might be buggy and battery life may be short so it's best to keep those troubles on a secondary device. There could also be more features to land on your iPhone when iOS 26 is released. Don't miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. Add CNET as a preferred Google source. Getting started with iOS 26 beta Using iOS 26 beta There will likely be more betas before the OS is released to the public, so there's plenty of time for Apple to address any issues. As of now, though, there's no word on when Apple will release iOS 26. Check back here later for more updates on iOS 26 and how to use the new features in the OS.
