Apple TV Plus joined the price hike trend last week and raised its monthly subscription by 30%, from $10 to $13. The move sparked a wave of cancellations, and, seemingly to plug the leak, the streamer has unveiled a new, albeit temporary, 54% discount. Instead of $13, people who attempt to cancel their subscriptions will be offered the service at $6 for two months. Subscribers on the tvPlus subreddit confirmed the deal, with one user sharing a screenshot of the message they received from Apple. Don't miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. There are other ways to get discounts on Apple's streaming service. If you're a Comcast customer, the StreamSaver bundle costs $15 a month and groups Apple's service with Netflix and Peacock. T-Mobile users can get a year of Apple TV Plus free through the carrier's Magenta plans. If you choose to purchase an Apple TV Plus subscription directly through Apple, you'll get a 7-day free trial. Three months of the service are free with the purchase of a qualifying new Apple device. And if you subscribe to the Apple One bundle, which starts at $20 a month and features services like Apple Music and iCloud storage, Apple TV Plus is included.
