Android XR expands: Here are all the new partners building Google’s AR future

TL;DR At Google I/O 2025, Google revealed XREAL’s Project Aura as a developer-focused Android XR smart glasses device following Samsung’s Project Moohan. Google and Samsung are also creating a reference hardware and software platform for AR glasses development under the Android XR umbrella. Fashion brands like Gentle Monster and Warby Parker have also partnered with Google to develop stylish smart glasses, though consumer releases remain unclear.
