At Computex 2025, computing giant Acer announced its first wearable, the FreeSense Smart Ring, a competitively-priced health tracker with no subscription fee.
In a market where other smart rings can run up to $500 and have features locked behind subscription models, Acer's FreeSense ring will be priced between $199 and $250 -- a competitive option for consumers who don't need to pore over complex health metrics.

The ring uses its own app, compatible with both iOS and Android, to track the most commonly sought-after metrics: heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and, of course, sleep quality. Like other smart rings, the FreeSense uses AI-powered algorithms to find trends in biometric readings.
