Apple’s Invites app just got its first new feature since launch

Apple Invites launched earlier this year as a way to coordinate social events. Today, via a just-released App Store update, the app has received its first new feature since launch. Apple Invites version 1.2 is now available on the App Store. Previous updates have only introduced bug fixes and performance improvements—no new features whatsoever. But today’s update brings the first proper feature upgrade. Here are Apple’s release notes: Add a Link tile to link your guests to a gift registry, potluck list, trip planner, and more – right within the event. When creating an event in the updated Apple Invites app, you’ll see the Link tile option near the bottom.
