This is our first look at Google’s upcoming spam-fighting Shielded Email feature

We have new images that show how it’ll be easily accessible in Gboard. This new spam-fighting and privacy option is still a work in progress. A couple of months ago, our Android Authority team discovered clues pointing to Google’s work on a new Shielded Email feature. The clues were hidden in a Google Play Services APK and hinted at a system where Google generates a new email alias for you so you don’t have to sign up for apps and services with your primary email address.
