Personal injury law firm Wagner Reese analyzed search trends to identify which common household foods are causing the most concern about US adults. But are these foods really as high risk as people think?
The make the list, the firm developed a weighted scoring system using Google search volume and TikTok trend data, categorizing foods by concern levels ranging from mild to high. Their analysis revealed 15 foods that present the highest risk for foodborne illness. We've supplemented the firm's findings with safe storage guidelines from the US Department of Agriculture's FoodKeeper app to help you minimize these risks.

Reality: In a post on juice safety, the US Food and Drug Administration reports that unpasteurized juice that hasn't been treated to kill harmful bacteria could be contaminated and cause foodborne illness.
Pasteurized fresh apple cider lasts two to three days at room temperature, but if kept in the fridge, it can stay good for two to three weeks.
