Unveiled a couple of weeks ago, Apple's iOS 26 has received its first interim update designed to repair key feature flaws and one security bug. Released on Monday, the 26.0.1 update should be installed whether or not you've run into any outstanding issues.
First up, iOS 26.0.1 addresses a Wi-Fi glitch affecting some iPhone 17 units. Several owners of the new phones reported that their Wi-Fi would cut out and then reconnect after being unlocked. The problem also affected connectivity with CarPlay. Some people said the issue was related to the Apple Watch, while others pointed to a conflict with a VPN. Whatever the cause, Apple has apparently fixed the flaw.
