OK, maybe don’t go that far, but Intel MacBook Air users can finally upgrade to the Apple silicon version without giving up a useful feature.
The M4 MacBook Air hits stores on Wednesday, March 12. Visually, the most striking change is the new sky blue version that replaces space gray, and let’s not forget the tweaked mute key icon — total game changer.
Visually, the MacBook Air has been an upgrade over the Intel version since the current design debuted with the M2 chip.
Redesign aside, though, the last three generations of MacBook Air couldn’t beat the last Intel MacBook Air from early 2020 in one department.
