Here's the New Possible Date NASA's 'Stranded' Astronauts Could Depart ISS

NASA astronauts Sunita "Suni" Williams and Barry "Butch" Wilmore have been on the International Space Station for more than eight months, even though they initially expected to stay for just about eight days. It's finally time to come home -- but first, one more unexpected delay. A relief crew for the ISS was expected to launch from Florida's Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday night, but NASA had to scrub that launch due to a hydraulic system issue with a ground support clamp arm for the Falcon 9 rocket. Now, the earliest Williams and Wilmore can depart the ISS and be on their way home is March 19. As of Thursday, NASA said the earliest the new crew could head to the ISS was 7:03 p.m. ET Friday, March 14. A possible Thursday night launch was canceled due to forecasted high winds and precipitation.
