Nintendo Switch 2 Might Cost $499. What You Need to Know About Preordering

As we inch closer to the Switch 2 Nintendo Direct event on April 2, more details about the company's flagship gaming console's launch are coming into focus. We don't know much at all about new Switch games (aside from a brief peek at a new Mario Kart in the reveal trailer), but we do have more insight into timing of the release and the expected cost. Nintendo's Switch 2 unveiling in January didn't provide much beyond the look of the new console. There were mentions of the backward compatible feature and of hands-on events for the public to try out the console, which will be happening all over the world.
