Tesla's Eighth Cybertruck Recall Is Over a Glue Failure

Tesla has issued its eighth recall of its sharp-angled electric Cybertruck, this time stemming from the risk of a trim panel that can detach while driving. In a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company announced a recall for 46,096 impacted vehicles, stating that the stainless-steel exterior trim panel can "become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash" if it detaches from the truck. "This structural adhesive has been found to be susceptible to environmental embrittlement," the company said in the report.
