The Tesla Cybertruck hit the streets in December 2023, and since then it's made its way everywhere from city streets to Fortnite and Rocket League. But the road hasn't always been smooth for the sharp-angled Cybertruck; Tesla has so far issued eight recalls for the stainless steel pickup.
The first seven recalls were all in 2024, but on March 18, 2025, the Cybertruck's first recall of the year was announced. It involves a trim panel attached with a glue that might not hold the panel in place.
Tesla sits at the top of the list when it comes to total vehicles recalled in 2024, with 5.1 million vehicles compared with 4.3 million for No. 2 Ford. The futuristic-looking Cybertruck is one of Tesla's most expensive vehicles, with prices ranging from around $80,000 to $102,000, depending on trim. The price can go up more, based on add-ons such as the Full Self-Driving mode, which tacks on $8,000 (and isn't fully autonomous, in spite of its name).
