Game Informer Relaunches With Its Full Staff and Mission Intact

Game Informer had been publishing magazines and online articles for over 30 years before it was summarily shut down by its old owner GameStop in 2024. Nearly a year ago to the day, the venerable gaming publication announced its return to publishing both online coverage and its print magazine. After several coy teases on social media, the magazine's returning editor-in-chief Matt Miller announced Game Informer's revival on its website, the first post to go up in a year. In an extraordinarily rare move, all of the publication's staff, from editorial to production to video and more, have also joined the new iteration of the publication. According to Miller's post, things will pick back up right as they left off, with daily game coverage restarting and interim content going up that was written after the publication was shuttered.
