Apple just released new AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 firmware

Today alongside iOS 18.4 and its various other software updates, Apple has shipped brand new firmware for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4. Here’s what you should know. New AirPods firmware coincides with iOS 18.4’s release Apple has new firmware available for AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 users. Shipped shortly after iOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and the company’s other software updates, it’s possible this new firmware ties in to certain features of Apple’s latest software updates. The new AirPods firmware build is version 7E93. Until now, the current firmware version was 7B21. It was released all the way back in November. That last update didn’t include any feature changes, only “Bug fixes and other improvements” per Apple’s release notes. Apple’s AirPods firmware site doesn’t yet list details on what’s included in the new 7E93 build, but it’s likely more of the same.
