Plex Rolls Out Updated Mobile App

Plex on Monday launched a new version of its mobile app, bringing improvements like expanded use of artwork, redesigned navigation and -- "for personal media pros" -- a tab for centralized media libraries. The updated app will fully roll out over the next week, according to the company. Customers can expect to see new title artwork for movies and shows, a dedicated spot for Plex's Watchlist feature in the top navigation, and a streamlined user menu. The revamped app arrives following testing, and a new app for TV platforms is set to follow soon. Plex -- which is among our top picks for no-cost TV streaming services -- allows you to watch ad-supported, on-demand content and live channels with a free sign-up.
