Even Jack Black’s Speaking Out on Minecraft Theater Etiquette

A Minecraft Movie has only been out for just over a week, but there’s been a lot of discourse lately. Theatergoers have been acting pretty rowdy, loudly quoting lines, throwing popcorn, and even bringing chickens into the theater. While director Jared Hess is more than okay with this, star Jack Black recently told audiences to chill the hell out and be normal. “For today’s presentation of A Minecraft Movie, please no throwing popped corn, and also no Lapis Lazuli, and also absolutely no Chicken Jockey,” said the actor during a surprise appearance at a recent showing. Black entered the theater to applause and excitement from the young crowd, doing the “I… am Steve!” quote and brandishing the pickaxe he has in the film.
