Days after Verizon announced a three-year price lock for cell service, Comcast is rolling out a five-year price lock for its Xfinity broadband service. Also: Verizon is offering 3-year price locks and a free phone - here's how the deal works The company says this offer is nationwide and applies to plans ranging from $55 a month for 400 Mbps to $105 a month for 2.1 Gbps. If you're on an eligible plan, your price will stay the same for five years with no additional contract. The company says you can cancel at any time with no penalty. The internet provider lost more than 139,000 subscribers in the last quarter of 2024, more than the projected number of 100,000, so it makes sense that it's scrambling to attract new customers.
