Framework Laptop 13 Review: Wait, Did I Actually Have Fun With a PC?

2025 It takes a lot to stand out among the legion of lightweight laptops, but Framework has never really had that problem. The company has been making customizable, ultra-repairable mobile devices for the last several years and it has really honed in on its modular design. The Framework 13 is in a place where it can shine as more than an idealistic novelty. It’s a good laptop, but more than that it’s a fun laptop, a Build-a-Bear device that felt all the more personal to me because I know what’s inside it. Framework’s build quality has improved since its original laptops. You can buy one put together already, but I opted for the DIY kit which comes with a laptop chassis with battery, CPU, and cooling unit pre-installed.
