Tremors May Finally Unearth a Legacy Sequel with Kevin Bacon

In an update posted to Stampede Entertainment’s news blog, the team behind the first Tremors movie followed up last fall’s announcement that it has reclaimed the rights to the original script. Months later, there’s some clarification as to what that means for fans of the Tremors franchise: “We’ve been exploring what this may allow us to do, so here’s the update. First, we aren’t reading outside ideas. We are discussing a return-to-Perfection sequel, and one or two more outlandish ideas featuring graboids in new settings. Whatever we decide to pitch to Hollywood, it will not be a remake the first movie with a new cast. Nor will it be a version of our original script for Tremors 5.” The original Tremors spawned several direct-to-video sequels and a TV series, though a second series that would have brought back OG lead Kevin Bacon never made it to the airwaves.
