It can be really hard to let go of your old technology. Whether it's an old laptop, desktop or printer you've got sitting around, you could probably use the space it's taking up in your home. And there are easy and sustainable options for disposing of these if you're doing spring cleaning right now. A CNET survey published Monday shows 31% of US adults are still holding onto their unused old devices, including laptops, because they aren't sure what to do with them. The survey also found that 29% of respondents use a recycling service to dispose of old tech, while 19% are tossing old devices in the trash. But throwing away your old devices is actually illegal, and can draw large fines in some states.
