Instagram’s new ‘Edits’ app now available on App Store following two month delay

After being announced in January, Instagram’s new CapCut competitor is now available on the App Store. The app is called ‘Edits’, and was announced in direct response to the TikTok ban earlier this year. The app was initially set to launch in February. Instagram Edits launch Meta is taking a page directly out of TikTok’s playbook, and is today launching a new video editing tool for short-form content creators. The new app, dubbed ‘Edits’, has all the tools needed to support your content creation process on mobile. It’s also available completely for free, whereas CapCut requires a subscription for certain features.
