The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Has Finally Found Its Haymitch

The search for young Haymitch Abernathy in Lionsgate’s film adaptation of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is over. Joseph Zada (East of Eden) will be playing the young version of the character previously portrayed by Woody Harrelson. As fans will know, Haymitch was the last winner from District 12 before his mentee Katniss Everdeen. The Hunger Games official account shared the news. Additionally, Whitney Peak (Hocus Pocus 2) will be playing Lenore Dove Baird, Haymitch’s love interest and co-lead in the 50th Hunger Games, where double the tributes of children are offered to compete for their lives.
