Season 2 of The Last of Us is at the halfway point. The video game adaptation, which won over fans in its first season, has proved it's got staying power. The second installment has delivered one epic, heart-pounding moment after another.
Instead of kicking off where the first season ended, The Last of Us jumps ahead five years to see how, and if, the relationship between Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) has weathered the proverbial storm. A lot of things can happen in half a decade, but curing the Cordyceps virus isn't one of them. The infection has only spread further, making America's landscape even deadlier.
