Fortnite is relaunching on iPhone soon, and now we know how it’s happening

Last week after a judge ordered Apple to allow apps third-party payment links at zero commission, Epic Games announced Fortnite would relaunch on the iPhone in the US. There was one potential problem though, and now that’s seemingly been resolved. Epic will use EU account to relaunch Fortnite for iPhone in the US After Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney announced last week that Fortnite would be back on the iPhone, some speculated that might not be possible. The reason? Epic’s Apple developer account had been terminated back in 2020, when the two companies’ conflict escalated. Last year when the EU’s DMA mandated Apple to permit the launch of the Epic Games Store, an EU-only developer account was approved. But after last week’s US ruling, it was unclear whether something similar might happen with Epic’s US account.
