Mon Mothma’s Senate Floor Speech Changes Star Wars Canon for the Better

One of the most important moments Andor fans have waiting for happened in this week’s episode drop of the hit Star Wars series. On the last episode, following the conflict on Ghorman, Mon Mothma took to the Senate floor to deliver a damning indictment of Emperor Palpatine’s true reign of tyranny. It solidified Mon Mothma as a leader of the Rebellion in the public sphere in an preamble expansion of the moment seen on Star Wars Rebels. The new scene serves as a sort of companion speech to the one she delivers while en route to Yavin with the Gold Squadron, and it’s aimed directly at Palpatine and those working to keep his favor out of fear.
