Philips will let you fix your trimmer with 3D printable parts and accessories

Philips has announced a new initiative that will let consumers 3D print their own replacements for small but essential parts included with many of its personal health products. Philips Fixables is launching in the Czech Republic, where Prusa Research, the company’s partner for the initiative, is based. But the actual files that can be downloaded and 3D printed are being freely shared through the Printables platform, which is accessible globally. You still can’t 3D print yourself a new beard trimmer if it breaks or the battery dies, but for accessories like a cutting guide, Philips Fixables will give some consumers an alternative to trying to find a replacement locally or have one shipped out.
