'Spider-Noir' Pic Shows Nic Cage in Amazon's Live-Action Series

During Amazon's annual upfronts on Monday, the streamer let loose a first look at Academy Award-winner (and genre icon) Nicolas Cage as the titular hero in the buzzy comic book series Spider-Noir. Spider-Noir was first introduced on the big screen in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The character, which is part of the Marvel Noir comics universe, was introduced to the paneled page in 2009. It follows an alternate reality version of Peter Parker -- this one is a struggling private investigator in 1930s New York who's seen better days -- who suffers a spider bite that gives him superpowers.
