Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority The climate crisis hasn’t gone away, even if it sometimes feels like it’s competing for space with multiple other urgent headlines daily. Ultimately, the issues surrounding the protection of our planet remain as critical as ever. That was the backdrop for Climate Week NYC 2025, where renewable energy specialist Jackery stepped forward to share its message of turning lofty promises into practical action. The company made its debut at the annual summit during the “SEE the Future” forum on September 25, co-hosted by organizations including the World Economic Forum’s GAEA initiative, the SEE Foundation, the Foundations Platform 20, and Columbia University’s Climate School. Jackery’s Global Head of Brand and Public Relations, Tracy Wang, joined a panel alongside UN and academic leaders to tackle a pair of big questions: how green energy supports ecological conservation and how to build lasting alliances for sustainable development. “Green energy shouldn’t stop at the product — it must be the infrastructure behind ecological protection and climate response,” Wang told the audience. Jackery To underscore that point, Jackery highlighted its fieldwork. In one example, the company partnered with the World Wildlife Fund to equip mobile medical units with solar-charged portable stations. That provided stable, zero-emission power for healthcare teams working in remote areas, while also cutting down on the use of diesel generators. In China’s Hoh Xil region, for example, Jackery delivered clean energy solutions for rangers tasked with protecting endangered species in challenging conditions. The company has also earned a reputation for disaster relief, rapidly sending equipment to restore electricity after hurricanes, earthquakes, and other emergencies. This approach is wrapped up in Jackery’s “Energy for Good” approach, which emphasizes cooperation over one-off gestures. Wang argued that the real shift happens when corporate philanthropy moves from isolated donations to sustained partnerships with NGOs, governments, and communities. That includes alliances with groups such as the WWF and the International Rescue Committee, as well as recognition through three consecutive SEAL Awards for sustainability. Jackery also pointed to efforts closer to home. The company has rolled out low-carbon practices across its supply chain, from working with greener suppliers to building its own Green Factory and a Zero-Carbon Laboratory powered by a solar-storage microgrid. The latter not only reduces emissions in its operations but also serves as a testing ground for new approaches to clean manufacturing. Jackery On the product side, accountability is a recurring theme. Eighteen of Jackery’s products have been certified for carbon footprint verification by TÜV SÜD, enabling full-cycle tracking of their environmental impact. That provides the company with clearer data on where it can reduce emissions in production and materials. As of June 2025, Jackery estimates that its customers’ use of solar panels has saved around 1.25 billion kWh of electricity and avoided more than 1.24 million tons of CO₂ worldwide, making the promise of distributed clean power feel a little more tangible. Android Authority largely isn’t in the business of reviewing sustainability metrics, but one of Jackery’s products — the HomePower 3000 — made our recent shortlist of the best portable power stations. We called it the best portable power station for essential home backup. All of Jakery’s presentation at the event contributed to the broader “Power On” theme of Climate Week, which encouraged attendees to shift from slogans to systems. Wang echoed that idea, saying the next step is scaling solutions that already work. “We welcome partners across public, philanthropic, and private sectors to scale clean power where it matters most,” she said. If the message from Climate Week NYC is anything to go by, that’s exactly where the global conversation is heading.
