Update: February 13, 2026 (10:13 AM ET): T-Mobile has reached out to Android Authority and provided the following statement regarding the NAD’s decision:
Here’s what’s becoming increasingly evident: T-Mobile customers save hundreds and hundreds (and hundreds) versus Verizon, and Verizon simply doesn’t like it. As airlines expanded free Wi-Fi through their loyalty programs, we stopped advertising it as an exclusive benefit for our customers. In fact, through our partnerships with more major U.S. airlines than any competitor — partnerships Verizon simply doesn’t have — more travelers, including Verizon customers, are staying connected at no additional cost through T-Mobile-sponsored in-flight Wi-Fi. Honestly, we were expecting a thank you card, but instead Verizon challenged us over previously discontinued advertising. Our advertising has always been clear, and no amount of frivolous challenges will change the value we deliver. We’re still waiting for that thank-you card from Verizon for hooking up their customers.

Last week, Verizon filed a lawsuit against the Un-carrier over false advertising after the Better Business Bureau’s National Programs’ National Advertising Division (NAD) agreed with Verizon’s and AT&T’s claims. Continuing on the topic of advertising, Verizon has challenged T-Mobile’s free in-flight advertising. Now the NAD has revealed its decision on this matter.
