A leak spotted by MacRumors analyst Aaron Perris shows feature flags indicating Google's YouTube and YouTube Music apps are being prepared for Apple's Liquid Glass design language on iOS. The same flags reportedly hint at support for iOS Live Activities, which could let YouTube TV display real-time content like sports scores via the Dynamic Island.
SpaceX intends to build a new 125,000-acre spaceport called Starbase Louisiana at Pecan Island, featuring five launch complexes, propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping and an airport. Construction is slated to begin in 2027 with a first launch targeted for 2029, and the site could eventually support thousands of missions annually.

Apple has pushed out the seventh developer beta of iOS 27, available now via Settings for those enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. This build is expected to correspond to public beta 5, with the finished software rolling out to all users next month. The update centers on Siri AI, a rebuilt assistant using new Apple Foundation Models and expanded Apple Intelligence features across the system.
A finalized feasibility study for Chilean telecom regulator Subtel, conducted by Salience Consulting and Pioneer Consulting and funded by CAF with partial backing from China's MCDF Finance Facility, concludes that a fiber-optic cable across the Drake Passage to Antarctica is technically achievable. The study proposes either a minimum build connecting three facility clusters near King George Island for about $370 million, or a nine-landing optimal build linking bases run by Chile, Argentina, Brazil, the US and the UK for roughly $620 million.
